Four vacancies for the post of Technical Officer (Public Health Engineering), Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (SC-01, OBC-01, UR-02) (Vacancy No.22030504612) . The post is permanent. General Central Service Group- “A” Gazetted (Non-Ministerial).

Pay Scale: Level- 10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.

Age: 35 years.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATIONAL:

(i) Degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering or Public Health Engineering from a recognized University or Institute or passed Section A and B examination of the Institution of Engineers (India) in Civil Engineering.

(ii) Post Graduate degree in Public Health Engineering or Environmental Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.

DESIRABLE: One year experience in Public health engineering or environmental engineering or municipal services including investigation, design, construction, operation and maintenance of water supply or drainage or solid waste management and sewerage installations.

NOTE-I: The Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

NOTE-II: The qualification(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, if at any stage of selection the Union Public Service Commission, is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from this community possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them.

DUTIES: Scrutiny of Urban Water Supply and Sewerage / Drainage Projects, Solid Waste Management schemes, Assist in implementation of centrally sponsored programmes, appraisal of DPRs, convening meetings/workshops, preparation of technical guidelines etc. Assist in preparing Manuals and code of Practices in the field of Public Health and Environmental Engineering. HQ: New Delhi. Any Other Condition: In the exigencies of public works, they may be required to work anywhere in India or visit project sites in the country.
