Vacancy for the post of Assistant Editor (Telugu) in Central Reference Library, Ministry of Culture (UR-01) (Vacancy No. 22030501412). The vacancy is suitable for candidates belonging to category of Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) viz. Deaf and Hard of Hearing with disability i.e. Hard of Hearing (HH).

The post is permanent. General Central Service Group- B Gazetted (Non-Ministerial).

Pay Scale: Level- 07 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC. Age: 35 years.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

(A) EDUCATIONAL:

(i) Degree of a recognized University;

(ii) Degree or Diploma in Librarianship of a recognized University or Institution.

(B) EXPERIENCE:

(i) About five years practical experience in a responsible capacity in a library of standing.

(ii) Proficiency in Telugu language.

NOTE: The Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

DUTIES:

(i) In charge of Telugu Language Division of CRL;

(ii) Responsible for all sectional work including cataloguing and classifying of the Telugu Books;

(iii) Compilation and editing of Telugu Language Bibliography including Roman Script of INB;

(iv) Answering reference queries correspondence, translation from and into concerned language;

(v) Reading proofs of Bibliography;

(vi) Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time. HQ: Kolkata with liability to serve anywhere in India.
