EMPLOYMENT NOTICE FOR THE POST OF MINING SIRDAR (T&S GR.’C’) IN
ECL

Eastern Coalfields Limited, a subsidiary of Coal India Limited engaged in coal mining in West Bengal &
Jharkhand state, invites applications for the post of Mining Sirdar from Indian nationals for filling up the
vacancies through On-line mode –

    Note:

    1. All the above posts carry VDA & other admissible allowances as per National Coal Wage Agreement.

    2. The number of posts advertised can be increased or decreased at the sole discretion of the management.
      The management also reserves the right to cancel the notified vacancies at its discretion & such decision
      will be final and binding to all. In event of cancellation of notified vacancies, the examination fee paid by
      the candidates will not be refundable.

    3. Above Vacancies are not suitable for the PH candidate, and colour-blind candidate. These
      candidates are requested not to apply for the same.

  2. Minimum Qualification:

    1. 10+2 or equivalent.

    2. Valid Mining Sirdarship Certificate of Competency from DGMS.

    3. Valid Gas Testing Certificate.

    4. Valid First Aid Certificate.

    OR

    1. Recognised Diploma or degree in Mining Engineering having valid statutory competency certificates,
      recognised by DGMS to work as Mining Sirdar in coal mines.

    2. Valid Gas Testing Certificate.

    3. Valid First Aid Certificate.

    Note-Candidate should possess all desired certificates/testimonials on or before first day of the opening of

  3. Age Limit:

    1. The Cut-Off date for determining Age Limit Criteria will be 20/02/2022.

    2. Candidate must not be below 18 years and of age as on 20/02/2022.

    3. The Upper age Limit for unreserved category should not be more than 30 Years of age as on 20/02/2022

    4. The maximum relaxation in upper age limit of under mentioned category will be as under:

    and (iii) condition prescribed in O.M. No. 39016/10/79- Esst.(C) dated
    15.12.1979

    NOTE:

    The Upper Age Limit is relaxed subject to the condition that maximum age of the applicant on the crucial
    date i.e. 20.02.2022 shall not exceed 56 years.

    There will be no age bar for Departmental candidates i.e. any employee of CIL & its subsidiary companies
    having the requisite qualification.

    Departmental candidates should forward the hard copy of downloaded online application form through
    proper channel.

  4. Instructions for filling up of Application:

    1. Candidates are required to have a valid personal email ID & Mobile Number. Login id and password
      would be provided through e-mail and SMS on successful registration which is to be kept active till
      completion of all the steps for successful submission of application and for future records. Admit cards/call
      letters for written test, skill test & interview etc. may be sent through the registered email ID or the same
      may be downloaded from the designated portal. Under no circumstances, he/she should share/ mention
      email ID to/or of any other person. In case, a candidate does not have a valid personal email ID, he/she

      application form as it appears in the class X certificates/mark sheets. Any change/alteration found, may
      disqualify the candidature.

    3. Candidates submitting their online applications from Internet-café or with the help of any third person,
      shall doubly ensure that all particulars filled-in are correct in all respects including uploading of their recent
      photograph and signature. Mistake, if any cannot be changed after submission of online application.

    4. Candidates are advised in their own interest to visit ECL’s website from time to time with regard to the
      call letters and other updates about Computer Based Test/Examination and Skill Test/Interview etc. No
      correspondence shall be entertained by the ECL nor shall ECL send separate intimation to the candidates
      to this effect.

    5. Candidates in their own interest are advised, not to wait till the last date & time for applying online. They
      should register well before the time for last date of submission of applications. ECL shall not be responsible,
      if candidates are not able to submit their applications due to last time rush etc.

  5. Sequence-wise actions to be followed by the candidates for filling-up of Online Applications are as
    under:

    1. Visit the website of Eastern Coalfields Limited (http://www.easterncoal.gov.in) and Click on the link of
      “Apply” given in the “Recruitment” Section of the Website .No       other means/mode of application will be
      accepted.

    2. Candidate are advised to carefully read the advertisement before applying for any particular post.

    3. Before starting filling-up of the online application, keep ready with you the following
      details/documents/information:

      • E-Mail ID

      • Mobile No.

      • Personal and Educational qualification details

      • Scanned Copy of Matriculation(X) & XII class Mark sheets / diploma /degree Marksheets

      • Scanned Copy of valid Cast Certificate OBC(NCL)/SC/ST candidates and Income Certificates for
        EWS candidates (if Applicable)

      • Scanned Copy of Ex-Servicemen Certificates (if Applicable)

      • Scanned Copy of competency certificate of Mining Sirdar/Overman, Gas testing & First Aid
        certificate (in JPG format).

      • Details of Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking for making application fee (Fee is exempted for
        SC/ST, Ex-serviceman and Women Candidate).

      • Scanned Copy of Recent Photograph (not more than 3 weeks old in jpg/jpeg format)

      • Scanned Copy of Signature with Black ink pen (in jpg/jpeg format)

    4. Read Important Instructions and Click on (√) ‘I Agree ‘Button.

    5. Register by filling up necessary details (Post opted, name, Mobile No. and e-mail ID and click on Submit

    6. Check Application Sequence No., User ID & Password received on your-mail and mobile number.

    7. Re-login to your account by entering User ID and password received through e- mail.

    8. Click on the option of “Go To Application Form” and fill all the necessary details in the respective
      field and upload Photo and Signature.

    9. Check Preview of the Application Form and make corrections, if any.

    10. Press Submit Button.

    11. Make Online payment through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking (as applicable).

    12. Take Print out of application form for future record.

    13. The last date for submission of application is 10/03/2022 up to 11:55 PM.

  6. Selection process (Computer Based Test):

    1. The will be candidates required to undergo an Online Computer Based Test (CBT) comprising of total
      50Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) carrying 01 mark each on Concerned Subject.

    2. The provisional merit list shall be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in written
      test (Computer Based Test) subject to the Scrutiny of eligibility documents at the time of Initial Medical
      Examination (IME).

    3. Finally, selected candidates will have to undergo Initial Medical Examination (IME) by company’s own
      doctors & the findings thereon will be final. Those who will be found unfit, will be disqualified for
      employment.

  7. Application Fee of Rs. 1000/- (Non- Refundable):

    1. The candidates have to pay the Non- Refundable Application fee of Rs. 1000. After filling all the details
      in the online application form, candidate has to submit the form by means of clicking the submit.

    2. Application fee will be paid through On-line mode i.e. Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking etc.
      There will not be any other mode of payment of application fee. In case a candidate deposits the fee in
      any wrong account or through any other mode, ECL will not be responsible for non-receipt of application
      fee.

    3. No fee is required to be paid by the candidates belonging to SC/ST,Ex- Servicemen and Women
      candidate, hence the steps for payment of fees will not be applicable to them in online application form.

    4. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Candidates are therefore advised to
      verify their eligibility conditions before applying.

  8. Bond Money:

    In case of selection of a candidate, he/she will be required to submit an Indemnity Bond of Rs.100000/-
    (One Lakh) in Non-Judicial stamp paper to serve the company for a minimum period of 3(three) years and
    in case, he/she leaves the company after his appointment before completing 3(three) years of service as
    Mining Sirdar, he/she will be liable to pay Rs. 100000/- (One lakh) to the company.

  9. General Instructions:

i) The candidature of the applicant would be accepted provisionally, which is subject to verification of
certificates, testimonials & character antecedents.
